Syncline Geotechnical Engineering (Pty) Ltd (SGE) was founded by Sundras Pather in September 2012 (Registration No. 2012/181469/07) and began trading in March 2013. SGE has a 100% ownership by previously disadvantaged persons.

The company has been independently rated by Empowerdex in terms of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act No. 53 of 2003, and is deemed to be a Level 3 contributor (procurement recognition level of 110%, qualifying Exempt Micro Enterprise).

SGE is capable of carrying out geotechnical investigations for various types of infra-structural development, including (but not exclusive to) bulk water supply schemes (pipelines and reservoirs), roads and railway lines, low-cost housing, shallow and deep foundations for buildings, bridges, dams, industrial parks, landfill/cemetery sites and slope stability assessments.
